Valerie Carl, L\u00e9on Dankert, Oliver Thomas and Oliver<strong>Hinz<\/strong> &#8211; presents the so-called \u201cConsent Registry\u201d, an innovative instrument for strengthening the digital self-determination of consumers The Consent Registry follows the principle of \u201ccase-by-case consent\u201d: instead of blanket consent, it enables a conscious, case-by-case decision to be made on the transfer of personal data.<\/p>\n\n<p>The aim is to reduce existing information asymmetries, make complex data protection declarations easier to understand and give users real control over their data. The Consent Registry takes three key stakeholder groups into account: the consumers, the requesting institutions and the application providers, who play a mediating role and should protect against unreasonable requests. <\/p>\n\n<p>The presentation met with great interest from the expert audience and led to a lively discussion about the practical applicability of granular consent mechanisms in different industries.
