Dynamic electricity tariffs<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n

In contrast to traditional electricity tariffs with fixed prices per kilowatt hour, dynamic tariffs are based on the current exchange price. The electricity price changes hourly – depending on supply and demand. If you use electricity when it is cheaper, you can not only save money, but also reduce the burden on the energy system. <\/p>\n\n

To the study<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n

As part of the project, FAME4ME is testing a mixed tariff consisting of a fixed and a dynamic component. Each month, participants in the study individually choose how high the dynamic component of their electricity tariff should be. They can flexibly adjust their tariff via an app or online platform, track their electricity consumption and gain valuable insights into their consumption behavior. <\/p>\n\n

The aim of the study is to better understand the behavior of users in everyday life under a dynamic electricity tariff. The insights gained from this will be incorporated into the design of future electricity tariff models. <\/p>\n\n

Part of the FAME4ME and SmartLivingNEXT project<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n

The field study is part of the FAME4ME research project, which deals with the development of intelligent energy management systems for buildings. The aim is to use artificial intelligence to develop individual, needs-based energy services that make electricity use more efficient and cost-effective. <\/p>\n\n
