Become part of SmartLivingNEXT – real operation starts now

Do you want to intelligently network buildings, neighborhoods, care services or energy services without having to build the data infrastructure from scratch? SmartLivingNEXT is ready for real operation and is looking for you to help shape it.
SmartLivingNEXT works – technically, organizationally and legally.

Why you should take part in SmartLivingNEXT now:

  • Added value through new data-based services that are created across system and company boundaries
  • Less integration effort thanks to standardized blueprints, semantics and connectors
  • Preservation of your own IT infrastructure, as no migration or technology changes are necessary
  • Full data sovereignty – data remains with the provider, including policy and access control
  • Legal compliance by taking into account the GDPR, EU Data Act and other regulations
  • High scalability
  • Connection to European data room initiatives

What is the Blueprint?

The SmartLivingNEXT Blueprint is the reference implementation for the SmartLivingNEXT participation setup. Its components are completely open source.
In addition to all the components mentioned above, it contains comprehensive documentation and the configuration data (HelmCharts) required for simple implementation in a cloud environment.
Thanks to its modular structure, participants can use only the components required for their purposes and expand these at a later date.
The blueprint creates standardization, reduces complexity and ensures that all participants can work interoperably.

How do you operate a SmartLivingNEXT participation setup?

Participating organizations can choose between two operating models:

Here, the participating organization is independently responsible for the provision, monitoring and maintenance of a SmartLivingNEXT participation setup in the cloud environment of its choice. This option is ideal for organizations with their own experience and existing resources in operating a cloud environment.

It offers

  • Complete control over all components
  • Integration into existing IT environments
  • Full flexibility in the architecture
Self-hosted setup in 5 steps

These are the next steps if you opt for a self-hosted
setup.

  1. Obtain blueprint: Download the latest version of our SmartLivingNEXT blueprint from our GitLab repo.
  2. Deploy Blueprint: Set up your setup in your own cloud
environment. The Helm charts are already preconfigured.
  3. Get access: We register you in identity and
    access management.
  4. Connect data: Record your own data offerings in the
federated catalog and make them accessible to others.
  5. Use services immediately: Browse the federated catalog for
the offers that are useful for your purposes.

The technical federator operates a SmartLivingNEXT participation setup configured for each organization. This variant is suitable for organizations that want fast, uncomplicated participation. The advantages are

  • Technical operation is fully taken over
  • lower entry barriers,
  • Ideal for pilot projects, smaller companies or quick go-lives

It is possible to switch between the two models at any time. For example, a quick go-live can take place with the managed setup and a separate environment can be set up in parallel for a later move. The core promise of full data sovereignty is equally guaranteed with both models.

Managed setup in 5 steps

These are the next steps if you opt for a managed setup
.

  1. Please contact us.
  2. get access: We set up your managed setup and guide
    you through the onboarding process.
  3. Connecting data: Together we integrate your first data offering
    .
  4. Use services immediately: Browse the federated catalog for
the offers that are useful for your purposes.
  5. Scale or switch: If your concept works, you can run your own setup at
    – without any dependencies.
Interested or have questions?

If you are interested in SmartLivingNEXT or the Managed Setup, we will be happy to support you personally. Just write to us. We will answer your questions, show you suitable
entry options and accompany you on your way to the data room.
